The cTnI (Cardiac Troponin I ) Detection Kit (Fluorescence Immunochromatography) is used for the quantitative determination of cTnI (Cardiac Troponin I ) in human serum and plasma in vitro. For professional in vitro diagnostic use only, not for personal use. • CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE

Cardiac Troponin I (cTn I) is a cardiac muscle protein with a molecular weight of22.5 kilodaltons. Together with Troponin T (Tn T) and Troponin C (Tn C), Tn forms a Troponin complex in heart to play a fundamental role in the transmission of intracellular calcium signal actin-myosin interaction. Troponin I prevents myosin from binging to actin in relaxed muscle. When calcium binds to troponin C, a conformational change occurs and causes dislocation of troponin I. cTnl or the cardiac troponin I is usually used to identify individuals who have experienced damage to the heart. The concentration of cTnl is normally low in the blood, but is released when damage occurs in the heart muscle cells. A higher concentration of cTnl in the blood can indicate bigger damage in the heart. Therefore, cTn I is a specific marker for diagnosis of AMI.
