• INTENDED USE

This Product is used for quantitative determination of H-FABP in human serum, plasma in vitro.It is intended to be used by professionals to assist clinical early diagnosis related to acute myocardial infarction. 

• CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE

H-FABP (Heart-type Fatty Acid Binding Protein) , with a molecular weight of 15 kDa, is a novel small cytoplasmic protein abundant in the heart. HFABP may be detected in the blood as early as 1 to 3 hours after the onset of chest pain, peak at 6 to 8 hours and return to normal plasma levels within 24 to 30 hours after the onset of myocardial ischemic injury. HFABP plays an important role in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, myocardial injury and acute coronary syndrome.
